For every woman who's ever wondered about golf — an invitation to your first swing.
The Women's Golf Celebration began in 2023 as a quiet conversation among PGA of BC professionals, evolved through two pilot years, and arrives in 2026 as our first open-public season.
The PGA of BC Women's Golf Celebration is a province-wide initiative held each June to grow participation in golf among women and girls across British Columbia.
First launched in 2022 as Women's Golf Week, the program has evolved from a digital awareness campaign into a hands-on series of beginner clinics, local events, and community spotlights led by PGA of BC professionals.
Today, the celebration provides welcoming opportunities for newcomers to try golf, connect with local facilities, and discover the sport in an inclusive environment. By partnering with host clubs throughout the province, the PGA of BC helps make golf more accessible while recognizing the important contributions of women professionals in the game.
The Women's Golf Celebration is led by talented PGA of BC women professionals dedicated to growing the game and creating welcoming environments for new players.
A driving voice for women's sports, Courtney Campbell-Leveck is Head Professional at Gleneagles Golf Course and founder of Birdies Babes Golf, a social golf club uniting women golfers in the Lower Mainland. Her innovative approach has fostered an empowering and vibrant community.
Courtney's passion for women's golf began with a simple idea: creating a welcoming space where her friends could try the game. What started as small groups at a simulator has grown into a thriving community hosting Social Nights, The Flock League, and the Birdies Cares junior girls program.
Elected to the PGA of BC's Board of Directors in 2022, Courtney serves as Co-Chair of the Education Committee, where she has championed diversity and inclusion in the Association's programming. Her belief is simple: "The growth of women's golf is very much on the horizon."
Taylor Kim was immersed in golf from a young age — her father, a former Teaching Professional in Korea, began coaching her at nine years old in Surrey. She competed on Team Canada, earned a scholarship to Kent State University, and was named Mid-American Conference Player of the Year in 2016.
In 2016, just two weeks after graduating from Kent State, Taylor qualified for and competed in the U.S. Women's Open. She earned her PGA of Canada and LPGA Class A Professional designations in 2019 and is now in her sixth season at Beach Grove Golf Club, focusing on coaching.
Taylor's coaching philosophy centres on creating a confident, welcoming environment — particularly for women and girls who may feel intimidated by the game.
A rising leader in the PGA of BC, Stephanie Vanderpas was introduced to golf by her father alongside her sister, PGA of BC Professional Christine Wong. She earned a scholarship to UBC, won multiple national tournaments, and made the All-American team before pursuing a career in the industry.
In 2025, Stephanie was promoted to Director of Instruction at Point Grey Golf & Country Club — one of Canada's most prestigious clubs. She runs three junior girls programs and two women's programs, always incorporating a social element to keep participants engaged and coming back.
Stephanie participated in Golf Canada's Women in Coaching Program in 2024 and coaches the BC Junior Girls America Cup Team. She credits authenticity as the key to her success in a male-dominated industry.
Cari Chow started golfing at four years old. After a serious knee injury ended her pursuit of professional soccer at 13, she channelled her love of sport into teaching golf — a passion ignited when she helped an older player out of a bunker and saw his face light up at the improvement.
Cari played for four years on the University of Victoria golf team before earning her pro card. She now teaches at Squamish Valley Golf Club with a focus on ladies' programs that make golf accessible and social for women who have never picked up a club.
Beyond BC, Cari is working to bring golf to countries with limited access to the sport, previously developing a program in India and continuing to explore new international opportunities.
These established programs run throughout BC and are led by experienced PGA of BC professionals. Registration is handled directly through each program — click the links below to learn more and sign up.
